What’s Happening with Mom?

This is the dullest week of the pregnancy calendar. Don’t worry – the ride is just about to start, and it’s a thriller.
Your period is over. It will be your last for over 9 months, one of the many advantages of pregnancy. Others include: no-one will look down on you for eating a pint of ice cream in one evening, great boobs, and having a medical reason for not cleaning the bathroom.
Your body carries on doing what it does every cycle. It’s preparing for a pregnancy. Your uterus forms a spongy lining called the endometrium which will cradle the baby.
What’s Happening with Baby?
Still no actual baby, but during this week another hormone called lutenizing hormone is produced, making an egg get ready to pop out of the ovary.
