What’s Happening With Mom?
News from the Department of the Startlingly Obvious: Being pregnant is physically hard work. Your body has a lot to do so it’s no surprise you almost certainly have backache, sore ribs and hips, and probably have other physical aches and pains like sciatica, numbness in legs, and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Many moms-to-be experience changes in their skin. Dry, itchy skin is very common, especially in the winter, so slather on the lotion. As well as keeping your skin happy, the lotion may help a little with stretch marks.
In the summer, it’s wisest to stay out of the sun, not just because we are all cautioned to limit our sun exposure, but also because exposing stretch marks and pregnancy melasma to the sun tends to make them darker.
